Easy installation.

Because of the weather, sometimes the 3M glue is not sticky, please try to remove the 3M glue from the product, go purchase a marine grade bathroom or windows doors silicone, GE brand or similar, trace it where the coupole sided tape was, slide the middle part it to avoid having the issue you're having. 
Then tie wrap both end and the middle part for 24/48H and call it a day.
